DJ SERIOUS: Dat’s my DEEEEJAAAAY!

Last Friday, my photog Michael and I took a trip downtown to hang out in studio with 95.7JAMZ’s Lil Homie and, the man of the hour (5-6pm on Fridays to be exact), DJ Serious. The guy has worked with everyone from T.I. to Slick Rick and big time locals like Birmingham J and Modesty XO. I was nervous to say the least.

I have been listening to the station since 3rd grade and lately, every Friday on the way home from work, I get a little TOO crazy in the car. I finally realized the common thread whenever I would also listen to WBHJ broadcasting live from “the club” (which could be Club 1709, Platinum, Continental… you name it). It’s the best way to hear the music that EVERYONE is listening to, outside of the traditional radio format. I may be revealing a secret here, but DJ Serious is the real answer I should give when people continually ask “How do you know this song?!”
